SFL would like to thank all of the players, coaches and parents who participated in the Challenger Game on October 30th. It was a beauiful day for football! Everyone enjoyed seeing the smiles on our Challenger players!
On GAME DAYS, our contracted trainers will make the call on stopping play when threatening weather occurs, including lightning. Below is their policy and instructions:
Threatening Weather Conditions Policy
The following procedures will be implemented in the event of threatening weather conditions:
- When a lightning strike occures within eight miles, one air horn burst will signal to all participats and spectators to evacuate the park for at least 30 minutes.
- At this time ALL participants and spectators should return to their vehicles!
- Please DO NOT take shelter in any tent or pavilion.
- The park will remain evacuated until 30 minutes following the last strike within the eight mile range.
- When it is safe for participants and spectators to return to the park, three short air horn bursts will be given.
