Head Coach:  David Kreston

Assistant Coach: Alex Cooper

See below for a message from Coach Kreston:

My name is David Kreston and I am thrilled for the opportunity to take over as Head Coach of the 2020 Southwest Football League Shamrocks!

I am a Native Houstonian, born and raised, and I played organized football for over ten years, having played football at Second Baptist as well as Kinkaid School and I am very familiar with the local high school coaching staffs.

I graduated from the University of Texas in 2017.

My goal for this season is to develop our players both on and off the field. Whether your son aspires to play football in high school or not, our goal is that your son grows as both a football player and as a person by season’s end.

As the season gets closer, I will continue to provide information regarding practice schedules, games, and expectations for both players and parents. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to me by phone call, text, or email.

Go Shamrocks!

David Kreston

See below from Assistant Coach Alex Cooper:

My name is Alex Cooper, I was born in The Bahamas then moved to Houston when I was very young. I quickly fell in love with Houston and the great state of Texas. I grew up on the southwest side of Houston in Bellaire.

I attended Westbury Christian for middle school then on to Second Baptist for high School. I found my love for football later in life. I didn't start playing until I was in the 11th grade. Growing up I was a baseball and basketball player and fan so I didn't even know the basics of football.

Even though it was all new to me, I was instantly hooked on football. As my high school career progressed and I got better I began to get recruited by schools around the country. I choose to play at The University of Houston ( Go Coogs!) where I went on to be a team captain and All-Conference player.

After college, I was fortunate enough to spend some time in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals. Football and other  sports has afforded me a lot of opportunities in life and has given me so many great friendships and memories. I'm so excited to work with the next generation and hopefully be a coach players can trust and learn from.
